This Privacy Policy explains how Tape (tapeperp.com), operated by a Delaware limited liability company operating as "Tape", handles information when you use the Service.

1. Information We Process

• Wallet addresses you submit — when you look up a wallet or use wallet analytics, the public 0x address is sent to the Hyperliquid API and, for AI analysis, a derived metrics summary is sent to our AI provider.
• Email address, only if you subscribe — if you opt in to our free daily email, we store the address you provide, along with a timestamp, solely to send that email and to prevent duplicate signups. Subscribing is entirely optional; you can unsubscribe at any time, and we do not sell, rent, or share your address for marketing.
• Basic technical logs — standard request metadata (IP, user agent, timestamps) processed by our infrastructure provider for security and reliability.
• On-device data — your watchlist and risk-acknowledgement preferences are stored in your browser's local storage and are not sent to us.

2. What We Do Not Collect

We do not require accounts to view any analytics, and we do not collect names, passwords, or government IDs. The only personal detail we store is an email address, and only if you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter. We do not hold your private keys or funds.

3. Third Parties

We share the minimum data necessary with: the Hyperliquid API (public on-chain queries), our AI provider (e.g., Google Gemini — receives a wallet metrics summary to generate analysis), x402 facilitators (process your crypto payment authorization for paid API calls), our infrastructure/CDN provider (e.g., Cloudflare), and Google Analytics (aggregate, anonymized usage measurement). These parties process data under their own policies.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use browser local storage for app functionality (e.g., watchlist, risk acknowledgement). We use Google Analytics (GA4), which sets cookies and collects anonymized, aggregate usage data (pages viewed, device, approximate region) to help us understand and improve the site. We do not use advertising trackers and do not sell your data. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking analytics cookies.

5. Caching & Retention

Responses may be cached briefly (seconds to minutes) to improve performance. We retain technical logs only as long as needed for security and operations, typically no more than 90 days. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

6. Your Choices & Rights

You can clear local storage in your browser at any time, and unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email or by contacting us. On request to the address below, we will confirm what personal data we hold about you (which is limited to a newsletter email address, if any), and delete it. Because wallet addresses you submit are public on-chain identifiers, on-chain data cannot be deleted. Residents of jurisdictions with specific privacy rights (such as the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA) may exercise those rights by contacting us at the address below.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly process their data.
